Looking for a permanent solution to Red Ring of Death? We have it! Only permanent way to fix “Red Ring of Death” in XBox 360 game console is by re-balling.
The process, in a nutshell, involves actually removing the chip from the board .Once removed, both surfaces (Chip & Motherboard) are cleaned using soldering iron, flux etc. Once clean, tiny solder balls are applied to chip using a stencil and heated to set solder onto the chip, and once set, remove the stencil leaving the balls melted in correct position to the processor. THEN newly re-balled chip is placed on the motherboard, and YET AGAIN the assembly is heated to melting point of solder to make contact with motherboard.
We have recently invested into equipment which enables us to do just that – so you can be sure once we repair your xbox 360 – it is Red Ring of Death Fixed!
